Well, a few months into the pandemic and we’ve met a whole new reality. This summer won’t be filled with festivals, group park picnics, and backyard BBQs with shared bowls of chips like usual. International vacations will only happen in dreams, and we probably won’t even be going to the movie theater anytime soon. Yet, we have Zoom! Zoom fitness, meetings, cocktail hours, and even dates have become the norm. Let’s add some Zoom baking to the mix.

Gather a group of friends and family (from across the country, even!), pull out those mixing bowls, and bake at home with live instruction, tips, and tricks from Batter’s owner, Jen. While we won’t be making our secret-recipe Sand Angels, we have a whole collection of tasty seasonal recipes perfect for recreating at home.

Zoom baking classes each include two recipes, and run 1.5-2 hours, depending on the pace of your group. Classes are $40 per person, and we request a 10 person minimum. Interested? Email jen@batterbakery.com to schedule.

Why Quarantine Quiche, you ask?

  1. We love alliteration.

  2. Quiche is one of the few foods perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

  3. Quiche is delicious.

  4. We pack our quiche with seasonal veggies straight from the farm, Petaluma cheese, and Rolling Oaks Ranch pastured eggs.

  5. When your family asks, “What’s for ______ (fill in the meal), you can just say “Quiche.” You need something to be easy right now.

Order your whole quiche through our online store for pickup or local courier delivery with 24 hours notice, please!

We know you are all seriously struggling with the grocery store situations now, and our farms we support are struggling with the loss of restaurant orders. Pickup a box of Batter goodies, farm fresh produce, pantry staples, milk and eggs to help the whole foods system out, and feed yourself well at home! Boxes are PICKUP or LOCAL COURIER DELIVERY ONLY on Wednesdays - Friday, 8am-3pm. If you need to arrange another pickup day, please note in order.

Please see our online store for our two box selections (small and large). Variety of produce and baked goods will vary weekly! Also open to requests and suggestions for items you need. Thank you to Capay Valley Farm Shop for delivering all our goods to us, and to all the small farms who continue to grow amazing produce.

We also hear you need eggs. Conveniently, our friends at Rolling Oaks Ranch have a pasture of chickens who are excited it’s spring laying season and have no idea there is a pandemic. So, we’re bringing their eggs to you! Boil, fry, scramble, or bake with these beautiful eggs and you’ll never go back to plain old white ones. Purchase by the dozen or flat in our online store!

Reminder that our Pine St shop is currently open 8am-3pm on SUNDAY, WEDNESDAY, and FRIDAY for to-go baked goods, coffee, breakfast/snacks, and bake-at-home doughs and batters. Ordering & payment for retail items will take place just at the entrance, for everyone’s health and safety. We will be accepting only credit card or tap payments - no cash. You may also order goods for pickup Sunday - Friday 8am - 3pm.

Batter is monitoring news and updates on COVID-19 constantly, and hopes to be able to continue to feed you throughout this scary time, even if in a limited capacity! As of Tuesday, 3/17 our kiosk is closed, but our Pine St shop is currently open 8am-3pm on SUNDAY, WEDNESDAY, and FRIDAY for to-go baked goods, coffee, breakfast/snacks, and bake-at-home doughs and batters. Ordering & payment will take place just at the entrance, for everyone’s health and safety. We will be accepting only credit card or tap payments - no cash. We have implemented hourly sanitation of all contact surfaces, in addition to our already diligent cleaning. We will only be using disposable cups and utensils, and you will see blue gloves galore here.

We offer many pre-packaged items, including granola bars, shortbread, “instant” oatmeal, and cookies, perfect for stocking your pantry and snacking during this time. Bake-at-home cookie, scone, and biscuit doughs are perfect for families now spending much more time at home. Doughs and batters are available at the Pine St shop, or through Good Eggs . Delivery by Postmate of select baked items is available for those unable to leave their homes.

Our online store is also still open! Please use code STAYHEALTHY for 10% off your shipping order. Please support your small businesses during this time!!! We appreciate you.

Wash hands, distance yourselves, be healthy, stay safe.
